Holiness unto God part 2

Holiness involves aligning our thoughts, desires, and actions with God’s perfect will by seeking His guidance and wisdom in all aspects of our lives. It requires surrendering our own will and submitting to His authority.

Firstly, aligning our thoughts with God’s will means renewing our minds through studying and meditating on His Word, the Bible. It is through Scripture that we gain insight into God’s character, His desires for us, and His commands. As we fill our minds with His truth, we are able to discern what is pleasing to Him and make choices accordingly.

Secondly, aligning our desires with God’s will means seeking His kingdom above all else and desiring what He desires. This requires a shift in our priorities and a willingness to let go of selfish desires or worldly pursuits that do not align with His values. We must continually seek His guidance and ask Him to shape our desires according to His purposes.

Lastly, aligning our actions with God’s will means living in obedience to His commands and following the example of Jesus Christ. It involves making choices that honour Him and reflect His love and grace. This can involve acts of service, showing kindness and compassion to others, and striving for righteousness in all that we do.

Overall, holiness involves a conscious effort to align every aspect of our being – our thoughts, desires, and actions – with God’s perfect will. It is a continual process that requires humility, dependence on God’s strength, and a desire to be transformed into His likeness. By seeking His guidance, studying His Word, and relying on His Spirit, we can grow in holiness and live a life that brings glory to Him.
